Eguma hails Ghanaian star Acquah for scoring impact

by James Davies

Rivers United manager, Stanley Eguma has waxed lyrical about the impact of Ghanaian import, Paul Acquah, in the club’s recent outings.

Acquah has scored four goals in his last two outings for the Nigerian champions in the CAF Confederation Cup.

The midfielder netted a hat-trick in the Pride of Rivers 3-1 victory against Congolese side, Diables Noirs last week Wednesday.

Acquah is currently the top scorer in the competition with five goals.

Eguma admitted that even though the player is not a striker, he won’t mind him continuing his scoring spree.

“He has really done well no doubt, he’s not the only one goal scorer in the team as Rivers United isn’t a one-man team,” Eguma stated in a chat with the club’s media team.

“I won’t mind though, if his goals can win us against any other team.”
