Chelsea caretaker manager, Frank Lampard has named Erling Haaland and Kevin de Bruyne as the two Manchester City players he wants the Blues stars to emulate.
Lampard, who spoke at his post-match press conference after Chelsea’s Premier League `1-0 defeat to Manchester City on Sunday, also wants the Blues players to take personal responsibility.
Recall that Julian Alvarez’s first-half goal ensured Man City defeated Chelsea at the Etihad Stadium as they lifted the Premier League title.
“The only inspiration should be what it takes City to get where they are.
“Manchester City have not won three [EPL titles] in a row through half intensity. They have had to work and work and work. The players have to understand that, Lampard said.
He added, “They [Chelsea players] have to take personal responsibility and say: ‘I want to be Haaland or De Bruyne, I have to put in the work they have.’”
