Chelsea interim manager, Frank Lampard, has named the club’s youngest side in Premier League history to face Manchester United on Thursday.
At 23 years and 238 days, this is Chelsea’s youngest ever average starting XI in a Premier League match.
Nine of the Blues’ starting XI against United are currently aged 23 or under.
They are just the third team to start as many players under 24 for a Premier League match, after Middlesbrough (10 vs Fulham, May 2006) and Aston Villa (10 vs Swansea, Jan 2013).
