Manchester defender, Lisandro Martinez told his team-mate Harry Maguire during Sunday’s FA Cup win over Fulham that he was defending too deep.
This claim was made by former Manchester United player, Paul Parker.
Maguire is currently on international duty with England national team as they prepare for their Euro 2024 qualifying matches.
The Man United captain was paired with Martinez as they defeated Fulham 3-1 in the FA Cup quarter-final a few days ago.
And Parker claimed that the Argentina World Cup star was clearly telling Maguire something, adding that he could not understand why the former Leicester City star could not understand how Man United manager Erik ten Hag wants his team to play.
“He has not played regularly for a long time now and he is struggling defensively every time he gets the opportunity to play,” Parker told BonusCodeBets about Maguire.
“Martinez was clearly telling him in the previous game [Man United vs Fulham] that he was defending too deep and I don’t get how he can’t understand how Erik ten Hag wants to play.”
