NPFL: Confident Rivers United seek to extend unbeaten streak against Niger Tornadoes

Holders, Rivers United will look to maintain their unbeaten start to the 2022/23 Nigeria Premier Football League season when they host Niger Tornadoes in Port Harcourt on Tuesday (today).

Stanley Eguma’s side have amassed four points from their opening two games.

Rivers United have not lost to Niger Tornadoes in the two sides’ last five top flight games.

The Pride of Rivers have won three and two of the meetings have ended in a draw.

The Port Harcourt club thrashed the Ikon Allah Boys 3-0 the last time the two teams met on April 25, 2022.

Ishaq Rafiu, Nyima Nwagua and Konan Ruffin scored the goals on that occasion.

Niger Tornadoes head into the game in buoyant mood after winning their first two games of the season.
