Nigerian champions Rivers United have celebrated their goalkeeper, Sochima Victor’s maiden invitation to the Super Eagles.
Sochima was named in Super Eagles’ squad for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying double-header against Guinea-Bissau by head coach, Jose Peseiro on Thursday.
The goalie has been in fantastic form for Rivers United in the Nigeria Premier Football League and CAF Confederation Cup this season.
Sochima also played a key role in Rivers United winning the NPFL title last season.
The Super Eagles and Guinea Bissau will clash at the Moshood Abiola Stadium, Abuja from 5pm on Friday, March 24.
The reverse fixture will take place at the Estadio 24 de Setembro in Bissau on Monday, March 27.
