Ligue 1 club, Lille have established contact with KAA Gent for Gift Orban, according to transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano.
A number of top European clubs are interested in the Nigerian forward, but Lille are leading the race.
Lille are expecting bids for their Canadian striker, Jonathan David this summer.
The former Ligue 1 champions see Orban a suitable replacement for David.
The 20-year-old has scored 20 goals in 20 appearances across all competitions for Gent this season.
Orban only joined the Buffalos from Norwegian second division club, Staebek in January.
