Manchester City legend, Sergio Aguero, has insisted that manager Pep Guardiola should have left striker Erling Haaland on the pitch during his side’s Champions League round of 16 second-leg 7-0 win over RB Leipzig on Tuesday.
Haaland scored five goals in 63 minutes in the Champions League clash against RB Leipzig at the Etihad and was eventually subbed off by Guardiola during the encounter.
The Norway international has now broken the record for most goals in a season by a Manchester City player, with over two months left in the season.
Speaking on Twitch, Aguero hailed the former Dortmund star, saying: “This crazy guy [Haaland] has scored five goals. How crazy this kid is.
“Pep [Guardiola] subbed him out in the 63rd minute? I would have left him on the field because we don’t know, this kid could have scored six or seven goals.”
